Pallet Gate for Corner Loading Platform
Requirement: Pallet gate for new mezzanine with clean room and external loading platform. Pallets 2000mm high.
Problems:
- The loading platform was quite small and had double opening doors to a cleanroom tight up to the side of the leading edge.
- The pallets were to be loaded onto a pallet truck from the side and pulled back into the cleanroom.
- It was impossible to use a standard up and over type pallet gate.
Solution:
- Omega* Standard model adapted with edge gate reversed into the rear of side frames.
- Frames mounted on brackets bolted to the loading face of the platform. This arrangement allowed clear side access through the side doorway for pallet trucks.
- The gate and additional side railing protect all personnel as whenever the edge gate is raised, the 'U' shaped inner gate protects the operator and prevents anyone coming into contact with moving loads.
- This model is also very easy to operate, having a balanced gate system that negates operator fatigue.
